Barclays announces major review of graduate scheme

Barclays will recruit more graduates for its 2007 intake than ever before and its recruits will have a more varied choice of career paths after the group today announced important changes to its graduate scheme, including the launch of a specialist retail programme.

Barclays Wealth, the leading wealth manager in the UK*, today launches a new corporate identity for its wealth management division.

The development of the new identity is part of a wider investment into Barclays Wealth which has already been well documented. The business is investing £125 million each year for the next three years to build momentum in terms of hiring the best people and transforming technology and operations platforms, as well as in building a global brand. This will be on a ‘pay as you go’ basis, growing profit before tax (PBT) at the same time as investing. A distinctive new visual identity will help support the business’s ambitious growth targets.
