Barclays Appoints Neil Staff as Global Head of Exotics Trading and Head of Derivatives Trading EME

Barclays today announces Neil Staff is joining Barclays the Equities business as Global Head of Exotics Trading and Head of Derivatives Trading, EME. Neil will join in May and will be based in London, reporting to Stephen Dainton, Global Head of Equities. 

As Global Head of Exotics Trading, Neil will build on Barclays existing strengths in Structured Notes, Corporate Derivatives and Quantitive Investment Strategies (QIS) to expand our client offering. As Head of Derivatives Trading EME, Neil will also be responsible for leading our overall Derivatives trading business in the UK and Europe.

Neil has over 20 years Equities experience and joins from Credit Suisse where he served as Head of Equity Exotics Trading for London and the US. Neil previously spent almost 16 years in Barclays Equity Derivatives business, helping to build the Fund Derivatives and QIS trading businesses.

This hire continues the reinvestment in Barclays’ Markets business seen throughout 2017 and into 2018, in which Barclays hired 25 MDs in Markets. Some of these senior Markets hires include Matt Pecot, Head of Equities Asia Pacific, Naseer Al-Khudairi, Global Head of Electronic Equities and Head of Cash Equities EMEA, Guy Saidenberg, Head of Distribution & Structuring and Michael Lublinsky, Head of Marco.
